Each week of Advent, after the liturgy prayer
and talk, we made decorations for the Christmas tree. We started at the
bottom decorating a section of the tree each week, and then the lights
of that section would be switched on. On the fourth Sunday of Advent all
the lights were switched on.

One of the children sent this picture of a
crib that had been made from the pots that yoghurt drinks come in.
This crib was knitted by Father John’s
Auntie Jo (she’s 94), and he let it be used as this year’s
crib decorating St. Joseph’s hall. Next year one of the parish ladies
is going to knit some more figures, and so is asking people in the parish
to send any old wool they no longer need. So if you hear anyone saying
they don’t know what to do with their old wool, you can tell them,
can’t you.
