St
Josephs is on the top of a hill and has a tall tower with a cross
at the top. This church is the main parish church and has room for nearly
400 people. It has lovely colourful windows that shine to the people inside
when it is daytime, and at night-time, when the lights inside are on,
the same windows shine out to people passing by. There is a big organ
upstairs with lots of pipes and this makes the music that people can sing
hymns to. There is also a chapel called the Holy Family Chapel and this
is where we have our special Childrens Liturgy at the 10.30 am Mass on
Sundays. Next door to the church is the Parish Centre where lots of other
things happen, and after mass on Saturdays and Sundays where drinks and
biscuits are served in its coffee shop. There is also a shop where we
can buy things to do with church. |

Our Lady of the Rosary
is the second church. It is much smaller than St. Josephs and
can only have 120 people sitting down. On Sunday the people have their
drinks and biscuits at the back of the church. They have a piano at this
church, but sometimes the people just sing without music. Frankie goes
to this church on Sundays, but he gets a bit excited when the mass is
coming to an end and has to be taken out early. He gets excited because
he knows that he is going to be taken for a run on the green opposite
the church, and he can't wait! |

Father John is our priest.
He comes from Wales, but has lived at different churches in Wales, Canada,
New Zealand, Rome, Yorkshire, Leicestershire and East Anglia. He came
to live in our parish in February, 2001, and his house is next to St.
Josephs church. Father John looks after the people at the churches, schools
and at the hospital. He likes lots of sports and especially rugby. |

Other Parish Schools We know
that not all of the parish children go to St. Josephs and St. Pauls Schools
and so, if you go to another school, please tell us about it - we can
even include a website link. |
