we have been thinking about day-to-day life when Jesus was young. We have
looked at the work people did, the tools they used and the animals and
plants they saw. |

They
did not have books with pages like the ones we have now, but wrote on
long scrolls of parchment which could be rolled up, as shown in the picture.

Jesus
would have helped Joseph, who was a carpenter who made things out of wood.
At the back of the church, one of the stained glass windows shows him
doing this - can you find it? We have made pictures about the way Jesus
lived his life. |
